Digital Transformation of the State for Citizen Service
The desired goal is for every citizen and business to have access to all the services provided by the public administration through a single Portal, gov.gr.
The success of gov.gr will cultivate citizens' trust in services in general and particularly in the digital services offered. Citizens will feel like valued entities, become participants in modernization efforts, and become more familiar with the automated processes that are gaining ground in their everyday lives.
The absolute priority is to change the relationship between the state and the citizen and to change the philosophy of public administration. This change will be immediately noticeable by citizens and businesses and will improve their daily interactions with the public sector.
Alongside other changes promoted by the Ministry of Digital Governance, citizens and businesses will no longer act as intermediaries for documents on behalf of the government. They will have full access to any service, either through their computers or mobile devices via gov.gr, or by physically visiting the Citizen Service Centers (ΚΕΠ) in their neighborhood.
