3. Approach and organization

Gov.gr significantly contributes to changing the relationship between the state and its citizens and reshapes the philosophy of public administration. This transformation will be immediately noticeable and will enhance everyday interactions at all levels between citizens, businesses, and the public sector.

Gov.gr follows a citizen-centric approach, and services are categorized based on life events, the actual needs of citizens and businesses, rather than the inward-looking perspective of the entities. The aim is for citizens to find any desired service within up to 3 clicks.

Additionally, there is a secondary classification of services based on the organizational structure of the entities providing or supporting them, to facilitate those who already know the specific entity.

Moreover, direct search functionality is provided for quick service discovery using free-text search, much like how an individual searches for anything they desire on Google or other search engines or websites. For greater convenience, citizens are assisted with auto-complete and filter options for search results.

Finally, at the top of gov.gr, selected current or popular services are presented for faster access.
